Our Story

Miller Metge Design Group was founded by Derek Miller and Will Metge. Together they bring over 37 years of combined experience in the architecture field and share a passion for creating beautiful and functional designs. Derek and Will met while attending the Masters of Architecture program at the University of Idaho. After many years of successful architectural careers in the region, they combined their talents and expertise to form Miller Metge Design Group in early 2020.

Our goal is to make the design process easy to understand and fun for our clients. We have been doing this for years, but you may be new to this process. We will be there for you every step of the way.

We create great buildings and use a collaborative approach. We will listen to your needs and ideas, and use our design skills and talents to realize your dreams and design intent.

Visual Technology

The best way to visualize your project prior to construction is using technology to bring your design to life. We use these tools to create the design and help you visualize your project.

Renderings
A rendering is a realistic 2D illustration of your project, similar to looking a picture.

3D Modeling
All of our projects are modeled using 3D software to help our clients visualize the design and space.

Virtual Reality (VR)
Step into your space as if you were there! We offer an immersive experience using virtual reality to see your project inside and out. This can be an incredible design collaboration tool, to ensure you get exactly what you want.

    Once the project moves into the construction phase, we can provide oversight and execution of the construction contract.

    We can develop a conceptual design to help you achieve your fundraising campaign goals.

    Do you have an existing building that needs a refresh? Our drafters are experts at creating a clean, accurate as-built drawing sets that can be used for remodels and additions.
